“Where Has Spatchula Been?” By: sPaTcHuLa I know … shocking! “Spatch is back” (great slogan don’t you think?) on “Bluqfu and Associates” along with all the other inmates of this website that I used to so frequently write for. Hopefully I will be able to contribute more often, get my “groove” back so to speak. “So what’s new with sPaTch?” Not too much these days. Just the same old same old. The “same old” as in living my life as normally as anybody can given the current global climate. A lot has changed in the world since I wrote last. Cowards ran two airplanes into office buildings killing innocent civilians, South Korea has activated nuclear reactors, there’s a “war against terrorism” and the space shuttle Columbia disintegrated over Texas as it hurrled on it’s way home to Florida. Of course there’s also a (depending upon which line of thinking you fall in line with) war with Iraq looming as well. The world and some people are doing a Chicken Little by exclaiming “the sky is falling! the sky is falling!”. But you know what? that’s not what I like to focus on with my articles and nor will you ever see me write anything like that. All the articles about the world and politics are for the journalists and the TV commentators … not me. Will this change how I look at the world? no way. Why? I’m an optimist and I don’t like to delve into politics too much because politics (to me) is the root of most of the problems that happen in the world. Surely politics can have a positive reaction but more often than not we see the negative than the positive. Again, I don’t write politics instead I like to focus on the witty and (attempted … badly) humorous side of my writing. Besides, who likes to have fun? “raise your arms if you’re sure” ! (yes I know that was a slogan for a famous deodorant who will not get any free advertising here on Bluqfu and Associates). On to more important things .. “Where has Spatchula been?” He’s been around. He reads the site and visits every day to read the new postings by you all. So fear not! sPaTcH hasn’t left the site … he lurks in the shadows. But he would like to say a few things though to you all. So let’s start shall we? I would like to thank Bluqfu for keeping my space open on the website. I’d also like to thank him for publishing my searing rendition of “Viva Las Vegas”. In case you were wondering, I will be appearing at the Las Vegas Grand doing my Vegas Style type lounge show complete with flying Elvis’s, bubbles and the cast “Ocean’s 11” providing back up vocals. It’s quite the spectacle to see so I encourage you to come to my shows when you have a few bucks to throw around. From what I was told my show will run longer than Celine’s 3yr stint and I’ll get twice the $ she is and she’s reportedly thrown a hissy fit already. The nerve eh? must be the sign of being a true “Diva”. Rumors also have it that the fit Celine threw has nothing on what Mariah Carey threw a few years back as well so that that for what it’s worth. Also .. try the veal I heard it’s quite good. It’s good to see too that Will and Bob are still contributing to the site. It’s nice to see our resident “cranky man” is still around. I mean, what’s “Bluqfu and Associates” without Will?! the voice of bitterness and the opposite of what some people think? I couldn’t picture the site without Will’s P.O.V. Then there’s Bob … Oh wait … I couldn’t just say that! Then there’s Bob. Always writing the short novel in each posting which makes it well worth the read when I stop by the ol’ website here. Always entertaining and well written! Can’t touch Bob’s stuff that’s for sure! A great writer .. keep up the good work. Then there’s also the recently added Lisa. My girl, my darling, the person I am so happy to have be a part of my life. She just recently started contributing to the website with her dark and often melancholy song lyrics. I had the opportunity to try and edit one song once but for some reason it was easy to do. But after you stood back and looked at them after the edits and all you realized that they didn’t do the quality of her work justice because it stole from the sadness of it all. She’s a wonderful poet and author and I believe her contributions alongside the already established core will make this site that much more better! Now as far as I am concerned, as I said from the beginning, I hope to contribute more often and with the oft funny material that you all liked (or hated but you didn’t want to hurt my feelings .. I’m a sensitive kind of guy you know .. ) and came to enjoy (ok … now I’m really stretching it here with that statement). I know too it’s been too long between articles but I’ll get back on track. But in the meanwhile … it’s great to be back at the whackiest site on the “WUH-WUH-WUH” .. “Bluqfu and Associates”! SpAtChUlA
